Health & Safety at WCE

Our Health and Safety committee chairs provide three programs for our students: Red Ribbon Week, Bike Rodeo, and support WCE's big end-of-year event Super Kids' Day (sponsored by WCE).

Red Ribbon Week

Date: October 21-25, 2024

Red Ribbon week promotes drug awareness and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Each day is themed to bring awareness to saying NO to drugs and YES to your health.  

Bike Rodeo

Date: TBA

Bike ROdeo promotes the importance of bicycle safety. Students in grades 2nd thru 4th bring their bikes to school and participate in a bike obstacle course around the school.  They are required to wear a helmet and can get their bikes checked out by a safety officer.  

Super KIDS' Day

Date: TBA

This event is a fun day to celebrate a great year of school!  Children participate in outdoor activities, relay races, and jumpers. We typically need a healthy number of volunteers to make the event a success.
