Welcome to the 5th grade events page! Fifth grade at WCE is filled with lots of fun events that will create great memories. Please visit this page often for updates on activities. Event sign-up links will be provided on this page, and are also under the  "forms and volunteer sign up" tab from the home page.

Event Details:

 

Revolutionary Day 

A fun-filled day exploring what life was like during the colonial times. Activities include a girls and boys school, making butter, candle making, sewing, crafts, games, dancing, and a few other events.  

 

Costumes for Revolutionary Day:

All students and volunteers are asked to dress in colonial-style outfits for the day. Most rent or borrow from friends who have participated in the past. You can also purchase from websites like Etsy or Amazon. The school has a small selection of outfits for boys, girls, men, and women to borrow. Costumes will be available to view and sign out to borrow one month prior to the event. All borrowed items must be returned dry-cleaned.

Winter Party

This will be the students' last holiday class party. The event is held in the cafeteria for all students to enjoy and parents are welcome to attend.  The "Class of xxxx" t-shirt will be delivered at the party. 

Manners Lunch

Students have the opportunity to practice proper manners learned in etiquette classes attended in prior weeks. Students are asked to dress in nice "church appropriate" attire and will attend a sit-down lunch at a local restaurant. Each table at the event is hosted by a community leader invited by the school. 

Breakfast

On the last day of school, the 5th graders enjoy a final breakfast together while watching a slide show of their elementary years. Parents are welcome to join in the festivities.

What are we looking for? 3 photos per student. Photos must be of WCE students only and can be from previous WCE events, birthday parties, camps, or Girl Scout/Boy Scout from K-5th grade.

Pool Party 

The end-of-year party for all 5th graders is hosted at the community pool on the last day of school once school lets out. Details will go home on an invitation.
